Russia may suspend cucumber, tomato imports from Armenia
MOSCOW, May 10 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Oversight does not rule suspension of imports of cucumbers and tomatoes from Armenia because of bugs, the authority said in a statement on Thursday.
According to the authority, it has detected insects of species Tuta absoluta, or a tomato leafminer and Frankliniella occidentalis, or a western flower thrips on seven occasions on May 3–Wednesday.
